Finalists in the 2010 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Awards (EIEA) program have been announced and will be recognized at the program’s awards luncheon featuring special guest speaker U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) on September 13th at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky.

Two finalists are from Estill County: William P Hardy, Director of Planning, Carhartt Inc is one of the finalist for For-Profit Business and Frances Snowden, owner, Ravenna Florist & Greenhouse is a finalist for For-Profit Small Business. Good luck to both!

Chamber Golf Tournament

Join us for the Chamber Golf Tournament at the Estill County Golf Course on Friday, October 15, 2010. Registration is 9:30am – 11:00am; Putting Contest begins at 10am with the Tournament beginning at 11:00am.

Entry fee for a team of 4 is $200/Early Bird price is $180 if you register anytime before the tournament. Mulligans 1 for $5 with limit of 2 per player. Skirts 1 for $5 with limit of 2 per player. Putting Contest is $5 for 2 chances.

Contests include Closest to the Hole, Longest Putt, Longest Drive and Putting Contest. Special thanks to Tamara Rice, CPA for the $10,000 Hole in One Sponsorship.
