Professional Development--Seminars and workshops designed for Estill County businesses and those interested in community development focus on issues of importance to the business community and to overall community prosperity. Legislative Advocacy--EDA is your community and business advocate on local, regional, state and national levels. Community and Business Forums --These programs enable members to learn about a variety of issues and opportunities in an informal, discussion-based setting. EDA Staff--Our courteous office staff stands ready to serve you with your questions, research, information, small business issues, government affairs, business expansion, retention, technology, economic development, and community development. Advocacy--As Estill County's leading community and economic development organization, EDA speaks with a strong and credible voice for Estill County on local, regional, and state issues. Our efforts focus on giving our members an opportunity to voice their concerns on issues that affect our community. Referrals--When a call comes into our office, or someone visits, we exclusively refer EDA members for goods and services to be purchased in Estill County. Leadership--EDA is a catalyst for leadership in Estill County. EDA is currently developing a Leadership Estill County program to educate and train present and future community leaders. EDA proudly sponsors *YALL (Youth Alliance for Leadership and Learning)* which is a youth-led, youth-driven community service organization whose main mission is to facilitate projects for the betterment of Estill County's young people, as well as the community at large. Business Enhancement and Recruiting--EDA staff and volunteers can provide members with free consulting services to help them with their business problems and opportunities. EDA has also worked closely with the Estill County Industrial Authority, state agencies, the Small Business Administration, the Center for Rural Development, SEKTDA (Southern and Eastern Kentucky Tourism Development Association), Kentucky Highlands Corporation, MACED, Eastern Kentucky University, National College (Richmond), and Berea College to promote business enhancement, expansion, and growth in Estill County.
